Halloween is just round the corner, so I’ve decided to make some ‘spooky’ Halloween biscuits made with acorn flour

Halloween biscuits made with acorn flour

Ingredients

  • 140 g melted butter
  • 90 g (plain) flour
  • 90 g acorn flour (available from us)
  • 50 g icing sugar
  • grated zest of one orange
  • three tablespoons of orange juice

Preparation

  1. Place the sifted flour in a bowl, then add the icing sugar, grated orange zest, three tablespoons of orange juice and melted butter. Mix all the ingredients together well and knead into a dough.
  2. Wrap the dough in cling film and leave to rest in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
  3. The dough is then shaped into balls, flattened, placed on baking paper and shaped.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 160 °C for 18 to 20 minutes, depending on the thickness of the biscuits.
