Omega-3 Capsule Bundles

The bundle for anyone who prefers to take omega-3 in capsule form!

Podomedi’s fish oil is characterised by a very high content of the omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA.

It is therefore ideal for improving a low omega-3 index, and a very small amount can be taken over a long period to maintain the recommended intake.

There are 4 bundles to choose from:

Intensive: 2 x Omega-3 Index blood tests from Medivere plus 7 x Podomedi High EPA/DHA, 60 softgels

An initial test is used to determine your requirements. If the test result is rather poor, with an index of 4–6 per cent (which is relatively common with a moderately poor diet), the first two doses should be adjusted so that you consume approximately 4,000 mg of DHA+EPA daily. This corresponds to 6 fish oil capsules, spread throughout the day. You should then reduce the amount to approximately 2,000 mg of DHA/EPA per day, which would be 3 fish oil capsules. After 4–5 months, you can check your progress with another Omega-3 Index test. If you have made good progress or your Omega-3 Index score is above 7, you can reduce your intake to 3 ml per day; alternatively, if your diet is sufficiently balanced – for example, by eating fish more often – 1 capsule per day (approx. 800 mg DHA+EPA) is sufficient.

Intensive Perfect: 2 x Omega-3 Index blood tests from MeinLabTest plus 7 x Podomedi High EPA/DHA, 60 softgels

This offer is the same as the previous one, with the difference that MeinLabtest provides a much more detailed analysis of the laboratory results.

Standard: 1 x Omega-3 Index blood test from Medivere plus 6 x Podomedi High EPA/DHA, 60 softgels

This bundle is suitable if you already know your Omega-3 Index, e.g. because you obtained it from us a few weeks ago and it was in the mid-range, e.g. Omega-3 Index 6–8 per cent.
You should now start taking 2000 mg of DHA+EPA daily and, after 5–6 months, use the test included in the bundle to check again whether there has been an improvement. If the result has improved significantly, you can reduce the dose further, as you’ll want to benefit in the long term from the health benefits that 2000 mg of DHA/EPA a day provide.

EPA and DHA – the ‘good’ fatty acids

EPA and DHA are omega-3 fatty acids. These are found primarily in sea fish and are a key reason why fish is considered so healthy. As essential fatty acids, omega-3s must be obtained from the diet. From the foetal stage right through to old age, an adequate supply of omega-3 is of great importance for our well-being and development (see nutritional properties).

WOSCHA High EPA/DHA – the golden fish oil

Nutritional properties

• DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function and to the maintenance of normal vision (these beneficial effects are observed with a daily intake of 250 mg of DHA).
• EPA and DHA contribute to normal heart function (these beneficial effects are observed with a daily intake of 250 mg of DHA + EPA).
