Sport every day is the multivitamin for (top) athletes
It is very important for anyone who is seriously involved in sport to know what he or she is consuming. What ingredients are in the food, what are the nutritional values, and what is the composition and quality of the supplements used? It is also very important to know what you are not consuming. You don't want to consume undesirable substances or come into contact with doping in any way. For this reason, Vitals products are checked for impurities and every batch of Jeden Tag Sport is tested for doping-relevant substances. This is done according to the NZVT system.
Jeden Tag Sport has exactly the same composition as Jeden Tag tablets, Vitals' best-selling multivitamin. The only difference is the name and the fact that every batch of Jeden Tag Sport is tested for doping and certified according to the NZVT system.
Jeden Tag Sport is a once-daily multivitamin in tablet form. It is suitable for people aged 18 and over. This multivitamin contains essential vitamins, minerals and special additives. It has been carefully selected and is ideal for supplementing the daily diet of athletes. When selecting the ingredients, we opted for substances and compounds that are easily absorbed, in optimal proportions and doses, as often as possible. Of course, choices had to be made, as only a limited amount fits into one tablet. Everyday Sport can compete with other sports supplements and does so extremely well.
Suitable for competitive athletes, has been tested for doping
Every batch of Jeden Tag Sport is tested for doping using the Dutch Safety System for Top Sport Supplements ("Nederlands Zekerheidssysteem Voedingssupplementen Topsport", abbreviated to NZVT). The NZVT system, similar to well-known initiatives in Germany such as the Kölner Liste®, is specifically intended for (top) athletes who can be tested for doping and offers at least as much security. The system is a co-operation between the Dutch Anti-Doping Agency, the Dutch Olympic Committee and Sports Federation and the Dutch Food Supplements Association. Details can be found at www.dopingautoriteit.nl/nzvt. Are you interested in a Vitals product that is not tested with every batch? Please do not hesitate to contact us, our contact details can be found on the contact page.
Why is the composition beneficial for athletes?
The composition is based on the latest scientific findings and is adapted to the latest data on the nutritional status of adults in the Netherlands and the optimal intake levels per nutrient. It is a comprehensive food supplement with a generous but responsible dosage. The ingredients below are particularly important for athletes:
Relatively high amounts of calcium and magnesium
Optimal for athletes: The multivitamin provides relatively high amounts of calcium (150 mg) and magnesium (100 mg). Calcium and magnesium are involved in the activity of certain enzymes that are active in energy metabolism and thus contribute to energy levels. Magnesium, for example, is a component of the magnesium-ATP complex and is required to generate energy from ATP (the energy carrier in the cells). They also play a role in nerve transmission, which is important for the normal function and contraction of muscles, including the heart muscle. Calcium and magnesium also contribute to the maintenance of strong bones. Magnesium can also help with fatigue or exhausted muscles; it can also help to think clearly and concentrate during mental stress.
B vitamins in the ideal form and quantity
Exercising every day provides a generous but adequate intake of B vitamins. The daily requirement and average intake of a normal adult Dutch person have been thoroughly analysed. It takes into account not only how well the body can metabolise the various B vitamins, but also the latest scientific findings on doses and safe upper limits. It also contains the biologically active forms of vitamins B2 (riboflavin-5'-phosphate), B6 (pyridoxal-5'-phosphate), B12 (methyl- and adenosylcobalamin) and folic acid (5-methyltetrahydrofolate-glucosamine salt). These are the forms utilised by the body and research shows that they have a higher bioavailability in the body.
B vitamins play an important role for athletes. Vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12 and biotin play a role in energy metabolism and thus help to support energy levels. Vitamins B2, B3, B5, B6, B12 and folate can help with tiredness. The heart benefits from vitamin B1. Vitamins B6 and B12 as well as folate are important for the proper functioning of the immune system. The ability to concentrate is promoted by vitamins B1, B3, B6, B12, biotin and folate.
A generous dose of vitamin D from plant sources
Exercise every day provides a generous dose of 25 µg vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol). This form is much more effective at boosting vitamin D levels than vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol). It also uses plant-based vitamin D3 (Vitamin D3V®), which is derived from algae rather than sheep's wool fat (as is the case with most vitamin D3 products).
Vitamin D fulfils many functions in the body; scientists have found receptors for vitamin D in more than 30 different tissue and organ types, including immune cells, muscles and bones. Among other things, this promotes the production of muscular proteins, which are essential for their function.
Vitamins K1 and K2
Exercise every day contains vitamin K1 and a high dose of K2. Vitamin K1 is mainly absorbed by the liver and is primarily responsible for the activation of coagulation factors, while vitamin K2 has a higher bioavailability, is distributed much more in the body tissue and therefore activates other vitamin K-dependent enzymes such as osteocalcin and MGP more effectively. Among other things, these ensure that the calcium is absorbed correctly and ends up in the right place, namely in the bones.
Iron (bisglycinate)
Iron contributes to the formation of haemoglobin in the red blood cells. It therefore plays a role in the transport of oxygen in the body. It is also involved as a cofactor in electron transport in the mitochondria, which are essential for the production of cellular energy in the form of ATP. In this way, iron is important for energy metabolism and supporting energy levels. It can therefore help to reduce fatigue. Important for athletes.
Unique: relatively high dose of choline
Every day of sport contains no less than 85 mg of choline, which is also an important component of cell membranes as a component of phospholipids (phosphatidylcholine and sphingomyelin).Generous dose of vitamin C
Each day of sport contains a generous dose of 160 mg vitamin C from magnesium ascorbate. Vitamin C contributes to the proper functioning of the immune system and ensures good resistance. It can also help to reduce fatigue and increase fitness.
Supplemented with Q10
Q10 is a substance that the body produces itself, but also absorbs from food. It is found in the mitochondria, the powerhouses of the cells. Under certain circumstances, the body's own synthesis of Q10 may not be sufficient to meet existing needs and dietary intake plays a more important role. This is why Q10 is considered a (semi-)essential nutrient.
