Lacticol, lactic acid fermentation product
Lacticol is the lactic acid fermented juice from white cabbage (Brassica oleracea L.) and beetroot (Beta vulgaris L. var. rapa) to which three probiotic bacterial strains are added.
During the fermentation process, the lactic acid bacteria convert plant sugars into lactic acid, which has a number of benefits:
- Improvement of the nutritional profile, as the lactobacilli can promote the synthesis of B vitamins and improve the bioavailability of certain minerals.
- Thanks to the acids and enzymes produced during the fermentation process, Lacticol can help with difficult digestion.
- Pro- and postbiotic action helps to improve the integrity and functionality of the gut and promote the growth of the gut microbiota, which helps to strengthen the body's defences.
