Our intensive omega-3 programmes
Restore your omega-3 index with our inexpensive bundles of oils and omega-3 index test! You don't like oils - or are one of those people who can't swallow a capsule? No problem, our bundles have something for everyone! This approach makes more sense than ordering something on spec. Or to remain in the belief that you are already getting enough omega-3 fatty acids with a few fish fingers from time to time, which of course would not be the case. So the best thing to do is to first establish your actual condition and then proceed accordingly... Read more

DHA and EPA - essential for health!
Legislation in the EU is extremely restrictive when it comes to health claims about nutrients. In most cases, positive health claims for vitamins, minerals etc. are not authorised, even if there is evidence from studies that they are correct. This also means that if the EFSA does authorise a health claim, then it has to be proven watertight!
The following statements have been officially confirmed for omega-3 fatty acids:

First the test - then the measure!
In order to be able to assess whether and how much omega-3 fatty acids you need, it makes sense to first find out whether you have a deficiency.
A simple test for this, which you can even carry out yourself without having to consult a doctor or alternative practitioner, is to determine the omega-3 index.
Put simply, this index indicates how high the ratio of omega-3 fats in the blood is compared to all other fatty acids.
The omega-3 index is optimal when it is 8-11%. An omega-3 index of 6-8% is considered moderate, 4-6% is low and a value of < 4% is very low.
You can obtain such a test from us. This allows you to test whether you have a problem before ordering omega-3 oils or capsules on suspicion and without a guide as to how much you actually need.
Subscription or non-subscription?
Of course, for many customers it would be nicer if there was a way to save money if they already know that they need a lot of these valuable and therefore expensive products.
In recent years, many suppliers have discovered this for themselves and subscription models are increasingly appearing on the market where you can receive tests and oils combined with the promise of being able to save money. Typical examples of this would be Eqology or Nordic Oil.
Subscriptions even make educational sense: many people do not keep good intentions for too long. If you are still enthusiastic at the beginning, your enthusiasm often wanes quickly after 2-3 months and you forget to take your capsules or oils from time to time or stop the programme altogether. However, you should definitely stick to the programme for at least 3-4 months, preferably longer, as you will not achieve any health benefits before then. The omega-3 oils first have to be re-enriched in the body and incorporated into the cells.
However, we do not believe in subscriptions and hope that customers can maintain their motivation even without a subscription. There are several reasons for this:
- The products have a very long shelf life. Our oils last at least 12 months, capsules last 2-3 years. It makes no sense to have a bottle sent to you every 4 weeks for extra postage and packaging costs when you could receive it all at once.
- A subscription is always a long-term commitment and if you forget to pay, you're in trouble. If you want to cancel it, it usually doesn't work. And if you forget to cancel after 6 months, you're stuck with it for the long term, even if you don't want to be.
- Subscriptions are also costly and time-consuming for us as shop owners because of the technical and bureaucratic effort involved in being able to offer them in the shop at all. Of course, all providers claim that their subscriptions are "totally cheap". But the fact is that they still have to include these costs in the price of the products.
We therefore do not offer any subscription models, but give our customers the opportunity to buy the necessary stock for their 6-month programme as an inexpensive bundle. We are happy to deduct the savings in effort and bureaucracy from the price - our omega-3 programmes are really affordable and don't just pretend to be!
