Internal use (oral)
- Dosage: Usually 25 ml (approx. 2 tablespoons) twice daily before meals, sometimes also in the morning on an empty stomach.
- Consumption: Pure, mixed with water or juice.
- Advice: Start with a low dose and increase it according to the manufacturer's instructions; large amounts can cause stomach problems. Not suitable for pregnant women and children under 12 years of age.
External use (skin & hair)
- Skin: Soothes and moisturises, even with sunburn; apply as a cooling spray or with a cotton pad.
- Face masks: Apply to blemished skin after mixing with healing clay.
- Hair/scalp: After washing, apply to damp scalp and lengths, leave on briefly and then rinse.
- Note: In many cases, the finished gel is more suitable than the pure juice because it is diluted.
Important note on safety
Do not use homemade juice directly from the leaf as it contains a yellowish liquid (aloin) which has a laxative and irritant effect. It is important that professionals remove it carefully.
Animal use (pets)
Small dogs / cats: max. 5 ml/day, larger dogs: 10 ml/day, simply add to food or water.
