Extract of the shiitake mushroom (Lentinula edodes)
AHCC® is a product of the renowned Amino Up Co. from Japan, which has been producing it since 1989 using a fermentation process that has been continuously improved over the years. It is assumed that the same starter culture is used for each production run. This ensures a constant composition and high quality of the end product. A patented process ensures that the alpha-glucan content is high. These are polysaccharides that are only naturally present in small quantities in shiitake mushrooms. Fermentation takes around forty days. The shiitake mushroom is cultivated on a specially developed liquid nutrient medium made from rice bran. During the fermentation process, the shiitake mushroom transforms the components of the medium into other nutrients. This results in the unique composition of AHCC®, which cannot be compared with conventionally dried shiitake mushrooms. After a period of forty days, the insoluble cell components are separated by centrifugation. This produces a liquid ("supernatant") with a high content of alpha-glucans and other nutrients. After spray drying, AHCC® powder is ultimately obtained from this, which can be filled into capsules. The manufacturing process ensures that the sensitive natural components of the extract are preserved.

Ingredients
Shiitake mushroom extract (Lentinula edodes), rapeseed oil (Brassica rapa), vegetable capsule (pullulan, from fermented manioc starch), dextrin, bulking agent (microcrystalline cellulose [cellulose gel]), alpha-cyclodextrin.
Recommended dosage
Take 1 capsule twice a day with water with a meal. In case of increased need, take 3 capsules twice a day.
Storage instructions
Store in a cool, dry place away from light (not in the refrigerator).
