Laboratory chemical analysis of capillary blood for the detection of specific IgE antibodies against 54 allergens such as food, animals, mites, fungi and pollen.

The following allergens are analysed:

Food: tomato, potato, celery, chicken egg white, egg yolk, milk, cod/cod, crab, shrimp, bovine serum albumin, a-lactalbumin, ß-lactoglobulin, casein, beef, mutton (lamb), baker's yeast, wheat flour, rye flour, rice, soya bean, sesame, peanut, hazelnut, almond, apple, kiwi, apricot.
Mites: Dermatophagoides pter., Dermatophagoides farinae.
Animals: bee venom, wasp venom, cockroach (Germanic), house dust, cat, dog, horse.
Fungi: Penicillium notatum, Cladosporium herbarum, Aspergillus fumigatus, Alternaria alternata.
Pollen: Couch grass, tufted timothy, rye, alder, birch, hazel, oak, cypress, ragweed, mugwort, ribwort plantain.
Rubber: Latex (Hevea brasiliensis).

Allergic reactions are triggered by an overreaction of the immune system to actually harmless foreign substances and often completely natural components of the environment. Due to the increased alertness, even common foods can be recognised by the immune system as allergens and cause the typical symptoms of an allergic reaction.

The Allergo-Screen® Food Plus allergy profile offers a test for 54 allergens such as food, animals, mites, fungi and pollen by determining the allergen-specific immunoglobulins E (IgE) from a blood sample.

How does the ordering process work?

Once you have placed your order, the desired test pack will be sent to you with detailed instructions. You place your sample in a sample container, send it in a prepared envelope to Medivere's partner laboratory GANZIMMUN Diagnostics GmbH and receive a report with the evaluation of your profile after 14 days.

Orders from further afield are problematic because the perishable biological samples may only be in transit for a limited time (maximum 4 days).
