Ashwagandha - "Queen of Ayurveda"
The plant, which originates from Asia, Africa and the Mediterranean region, was long known primarily in the traditional Indian folk medicine Ayurveda. Due to its positive properties as a balance in a fast-paced and nerve-straining everyday life, the plant is becoming increasingly popular in Western countries and in the field of dietary supplements. Known as the "sleep berry", ashwagandha is taken both in the evening and as a support during challenging, stressful times.
The root of the plant is used in the preparation. It also contains the ingredients from the withanolides group, which are said to make up a large part of the plant's value for our well-being. When buying ashwagandha, you should therefore look for a high proportion of withanolides. A high-quality product should contain at least 2.5 %. Ashwagandha from Nature Power contains a full 5% and is therefore particularly beneficial.
