Potassium alum crystal (potassium alum) is a mineral that has been used for a long time, especially in Asia, as a mild deodorant and to kill germs. It is a compound of potassium and aluminium, whereby the aluminium is firmly bound and cannot penetrate the skin.

Sweating is a natural bodily process to regulate body temperature. Sweat itself smells almost nothing; it is bacteria on damp skin that produce the substances that cause bad odours.

Unlike antiperspirants, which affect the sweat glands and reduce sweating, the potassium alum crystal works like this: it forms a thin mineral film on the skin that prevents the spread of bacteria. This reduces body odour without preventing natural sweating.

Does it contain aluminium or not?

Unlike aluminium salts in antiperspirants (such as aluminium chlorohydrate), potassium alum does not release any free aluminium.
Therefore, products containing potassium alum can be correctly described as "aluminium-free" because they do not contain any potentially harmful or toxic forms of aluminium.

How to use
