Cholesterol Complex is a selected mixture of mushrooms of exotic origin and red rice. The shiitake, judas ear and maitake mushrooms it contains are helpful supporters for all those who pay particular attention to their fat intake. This is because they contain valuable β-glucans and monacolin.
Monaklin is a component of red rice and is obtained through fermentation processes with a mould fungus. It is used in medicines to lower cholesterol levels. As a product with a daily intake of 5 mg or more requires authorisation as a medicinal product, we expressly recommend taking only one capsule a day, as this is a food supplement. Especially as various mushrooms also contain small amounts of this substance. According to literature sources, Judas ear, maitake and shiitake also contain small amounts of monakolin K.
