Kids Omega 3 Plus Jellies 60 chewing jelly drops

Kids Omega-3-Plus-Jellies from Vitals - the new hit with children

These unique chew drops have been developed to contain a large amount of fish oil without tasting excessively like fish (as is sometimes the case with fruit gums or other products containing fish oil). As a result, one or two chewing oil drops per day are sufficient to provide an effective intake of omega-3 fatty acids. In addition to a generous dose of the important omega-3 fatty acid DHA for brain and vision, Kids Omega-3 Plus Jellies contain other essential nutrients such as iodine for healthy growth and learning. Vitamin D is necessary for normal growth and the development of children's bones. Vitamins C and D support resistance.

In short, these chewable lozenges are an easy way to provide your children with extra nutrients every day as a supplement to a healthy diet. Also suitable for adults who don't like capsules and tablets and who prefer a tasty and chewable food supplement to get more nutrients such as DHA and vitamin D3.

Growing up healthy

In order for a child to grow up healthy, it not only needs the unconditional love of its parents and a safe environment, but primarily also a healthy lifestyle. Starting with sufficient exercise (preferably often in the fresh air), a restful night's sleep and a healthy diet with plenty of fruit and vegetables. In everyday life, however, it does not seem possible for both children and adults to consume all the necessary nutrients in sufficient quantities every day. This applies in particular to vitamin D, which is only found in small amounts in food. In the case of vitamin D, we are essentially dependent on production in our skin under the influence of sunlight. In Western Europe, the hours and intensity of sunlight are often insufficient, especially in the autumn and winter months, so it makes sense for many children and adults to supplement their diet with a vitamin D supplement.

The intake of the essential fish fatty acids docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) is also often inadequate because many children (and adults) do not like fish. Vitals' Kids Omega 3 Plus Jellies therefore contain a generous amount of vitamin D3 and DHA (plus EPA) in each chewable jelly drop. They also contain iodine, an essential trace element for growing children. And also some vitamin C for resilience.

DHA: Good for brain function and eyes

Kids Omega-3-Plus Jellies from Vitals contain up to 250 mg DHA (and 50 mg EPA) per chewing leedrop. The polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acid DHA is an essential building block of the nerve tissue in our brain. What is less well known is that DHA is also part of the retina in our eyes. The retina is formed from brain tissue during foetal development. This section of the eye therefore remains structurally part of our central nervous system. The retina consists of nerve cells that also have a high DHA content in their membranes. The retina captures the light we perceive and converts it into electrical signals, which are then transmitted to our brain via the optic nerve.

DHA therefore plays an essential role in brain function, but also in vision, both in children and adults. The body is only able to produce DHA from its precursor substance (the essential omega-3 fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid [ALA]) to a very limited extent. It is therefore necessary to obtain sufficient DHA daily by either eating fish and/or taking a dietary supplement containing at least 250 mg DHA. As omega-3 fatty acids are sensitive when processed into food supplements, it is advisable to always opt for a high-quality fish oil from a reputable supplier. And this is the case with Kids Omega-3-Plus Jellies. The omega-3 fatty acids in this product are exclusively in the triglyceride form, as this form is best absorbed by the body.

Vitamin D: good for bones and the immune system

Vitamin D is essential for healthy bone development and the functioning of the immune system.
Vitamin D is normally produced in the skin. In earlier times, it was normal for children to be out in the fresh air enough to produce it themselves. Parents who were young in the 70s and 80s will remember that they spent almost the whole day outdoors, this was common back then, vitamin D intake was unnecessary. Today's children mainly sit in front of PCs and smartphones. A vitamin D deficiency is inevitable in the long term.
But vitamin D deficiency in children is not just a modern phenomenon. Vitamin D deficiency first became a real problem at the beginning of the industrial age when a previously almost unknown childhood disease, rickets, became rampant. Initially, people were still puzzled as to why children developed crooked bones and became increasingly stunted. Until it was eventually discovered that the cause was an enormous vitamin D deficiency caused by excessive air pollution in cities, which prevented light from getting through. The fact that children had to spend far too long in dark flats or in factory buildings fuelled the problem.
Fortunately, today there is no more mega smog and no more child labour. Unfortunately, instead, kids voluntarily sit in front of their PCs all day. Unfortunately, children's room light is not enough to stimulate the skin to produce vitamin D.

The best-known function of vitamin D is its contribution to strong and healthy bones, as it ensures, among other things, that calcium from food is better absorbed and is available in sufficient quantities in the body to build strong bone tissue. This is particularly important for children whose skeleton is still developing. Vitamin D also contributes to strong teeth and has a positive influence on children's immune systems. All the more reasons to make sure you get enough of this vitamin. Each Kaugeleedrops also contains some vitamin C, which contributes to good resistance.

Iodine: supports learning ability and growth

The importance of the trace element iodine should not be underestimated either. Iodine occurs naturally in algae, fish and seafood. It is also added to salt, which is used for baking bread, among other things. This addition is made because iodine intake in Western Europe is rather low. Nevertheless, people would still have to eat enough bread, and this is not necessarily the case for everyone. A dietary supplement can also help here.

Iodine is important for normal thyroid function. It also plays a role in cognitive function and therefore contributes to learning ability and concentration. Finally, it helps children to grow normally. Kids Omega-3-Plus Jellies contain a safe dose of 22.5 μg iodine per chew.

Kids Omega-3-Plus-Jellies, a revolutionary food supplement

These innovative chewing gum drops were developed in collaboration with the Norwegian manufacturer Vitux. Chewing gum drops are becoming increasingly popular as this form of administration offers many advantages, such as a very pleasant flavour and the possibility of adding more active ingredients than fruit gums. Especially for fatty nutrients (such as omega-3 fatty acids), chewing gum drops offer another important advantage. As the patented manufacturing process called ConCordix ensures that the fatty acids are divided into very small droplets, they can be absorbed even better by the body. Vitux has taken its inspiration from Mother Nature. By breaking down dietary fats into small droplets (a process known as emulsification), the body itself also ensures that the fats are properly digested and absorbed.

In addition, this form of chewing gel drops, in combination with a special double aluminium packaging, ensures excellent protection of the sensitive omega-3 fatty acids against oxidation. And finally, despite the high dose of fish oil and other nutrients, these chewable drops taste really good. Kids Omega-3-Plus Jellies from Vitals are a very good example of how healthy and tasty can go together!

Notes from EnergyVital

The drops are really very tasty, so keep them out of the reach of children and explain to them that they are not sweets. However, if a child gets hold of the packet and eats more than was allowed, no problem. A child could eat a whole packet of 60 drops without causing dangerous poisoning. You can't poison yourself with vitamin C, iodine would have to be ingested in the milligramme range itamin D is fat-soluble, which means that the body's fatty tissue would easily buffer a single excess intake. The only side effect would be severe diarrhoea, as xylitol has a laxative effect in large quantities.

As it contains fish gelatine and not gelatine from pork or beef, the product should be halal kosher (no guarantee, we are not specialists in such matters).
