The krill of the species Euphausia superba comes from the pure waters of the Antarctic. What are the advantages of krill oil compared to fish oil?

In contrast to fish oil, the omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA from krill oil are bound to phospholipids. This has several advantages:

• We can absorb krill oil much faster than fish oil because, unlike triglycerides, phospholipids are water-soluble, which means the body can utilise it better because no conversion by enzymes or bile acids is necessary.
