L-lysine is the precursor of the amino acid carnitine
This product utilises the natural L-form of lysine instead of the synthetic D-form. Only the L-form is physiologically active. Lysine, which is used in food supplements, is produced by fermentation with microorganisms. Plants and microorganisms are able to synthesise lysine from the amino acid aspartic acid.
There are around 500 amino acids that occur in nature. 20 of these amino acids act as building blocks for protein in the human body and are called "basic amino acids". These basic amino acids can be categorised as "essential", "semi-essential" and "non-essential". L-lysine is an essential amino acid, which means that the body is unable to produce it from other amino acids and is therefore completely dependent on food intake to meet its daily needs. Vegetarians and vegans may have an inadequate intake of lysine, as animal proteins are particularly rich in this amino acid.

L-lysine HCl, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (vegetable capsule), anti-caking agent (rice fibres).
Recommended dosage
As a food supplement for adults, take 2-3 capsules per day with water between meals (at least half an hour before or two hours after eating).
Storage instructions
Store in a cool, dry place away from light (not in the refrigerator).
