L-tryptophan, the body's own hormone, is responsible for the transmission of various stimuli between nerves and is crucial for mental well-being, social behaviour and mood. It is a natural mood enhancer and contributes to relaxation and calming.
By increasing serotonin levels, L-tryptophan also reduces cravings for sweets in some people and can therefore be a good help when dieting.
