Zinc is a trace element and is vital (essential). As a component of enzymes, it is involved in many important processes in the body. Zinc also plays an important role as an activator of important enzymes. For example, it is involved in fat metabolism. It also has an influence on the formation of thyroid and sex hormones, supports the normal function of the immune system and is considered an important antioxidant.
