Laboratory chemical analysis to determine the concentration of the neurotransmitter serotonin in urine
Serotonin is a neurotransmitter - a messenger substance that transmits information to our nerve cells. It is found in the nervous system, as well as in the gastrointestinal tract and blood platelets. The tasks of serotonin are diverse and emphasise its importance for our well-being. For example, serotonin has an influence on our mood, sleep, pain judgements and appetite. The importance of the neurotransmitter for our emotional state is the main reason for the popular term "happiness hormone".
The production of serotonin can be controlled by our diet. This is supported by the amino acid L-tryphtophan, which triggers the intermediate stage to 5-HTP. It can also be improved by co-factors such as vitamin B6, magnesium and iron.
The Seratonin urine test provides information on the presence of serotonin in urine using modern laboratory chemical analyses. It is therefore an important step in the diagnosis of possible serotonin deficiency and its treatment.

You place your sample in a tube and send it in a prepared envelope to Medivere's partner laboratory, GANZIMMUN DIAGNOSTICS AG. You will receive a report with the evaluation of your profile after approx. 10-14 working days.

Around 50 % of our customers are sent to us by their therapist and know exactly what they need.
