There are around 500 amino acids in nature
20 of these amino acids act as building blocks for the protein present in the human body; they are called "basic amino acids". These basic amino acids can be categorised as "essential", "semi-essential" and "non-essential". Although taurine is considered an amino acid, it is not a true amino acid due to its biochemical structure. It is also not incorporated into proteins. Taurine is a semi-essential nutrient for older children and adults, which is mainly produced in the liver and brain from the sulphur-containing amino acids cysteine and methionine; vitamin B6 is responsible for this conversion, among other things. Children in infancy and early childhood are not yet able to produce taurine on their own; taurine is an essential nutrient for them. As the body's own synthesis is limited, dietary intake is important for a good taurine status, especially if there is an increased requirement. As taurine is mainly found in meat, fish and poultry, vegetarians and vegans are more at risk of inadequate dietary intake

Taurine, anti-caking agent (rice fibres), vegetable capsule capsule (pullulan, from fermented manioc starch).
Recommended use
As a food supplement for adults, take 2-3 capsules per day with water between meals (at least half an hour before or two hours after eating).
Note
Not suitable for long-term use (> 1 year).
Storage instructions
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light (not in the refrigerator).
