Omega-3 fatty acids - the "good fats"

Omega-3 fatty acids are mainly found in sea fish and are a key reason why fish is considered so healthy. As essential fatty acids, omega-3 must be ingested through food. The supply of omega-3 is of great importance for our well-being and development, even for the foetus and into old age (see nutritional properties). As we consume the majority of omega-3 through animal products, we should pay more attention to our omega-3 supply when eating an animal-free diet.

Vegan omega 3 - animal-free from the algae Schizochytrium

Vegan Omega 3 is made from the algae Schizochytrium. In an environmentally friendly process, the oil is extracted from the algae in an artificial sea basin. The artificial seawater also guarantees the purity and quality of the product, as there are no harmful substances in the water.
Vegan Omega is highly concentrated with 175 mg EPA and 310 mg DHA per capsule.
Rosemary and mixed tocopherols also ensure that the Omega 3 does not oxidise and therefore has a longer shelf life.

Nutritive properties

• DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function and to the maintenance of normal vision (these positive effects occur with a daily intake of 250 mg DHA)
• EPA and DHA contribute to normal heart function (these positive effects occur with a daily intake of 250 mg DHA + EPA)
• Replacing saturated fatty acids with monounsaturated and/or polyunsaturated fatty acids in the diet contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels
