Thiamine is the precursor of the biologically active form of vitamin B1, thiamine pyrophosphate (TPP). Magnesium is required for the conversion of thiamine into TPP. Thiamine pyrophosphate, a coenzyme, plays a role in various reactions of energy metabolism, including the production of energy from fats, carbohydrates and proteins. This function is involved in the energy metabolism of all cells, including the cells of the heart and nervous system, and thus supports the normal functioning of the heart and nervous system. It also plays a role in the functions of the brain and nerves, as these are responsible for things such as concentration, memory and mood. The product Vitamin B1 250 mg from Vitals contains a high amount of pure thiamine. The raw material is enclosed in a vegetable capsule made from manioc and is supplemented with an auxiliary material made from rice. If you use or recommend vitamin B1, you should ideally do so together with a multivitamin supplement or vitamin B complex (because the effects of the B vitamins reinforce each other).
