Maca

Maca is a root that grows naturally high in the Peruvian Andes. The people of Peru have long used maca for its beneficial effects on physical and mental well-being. Maca is called an "adaptogen". Many people do not realise that there are different types of maca, which differ in their plant substances and their effects. The different types of maca can be recognised by the colour of their roots, which can be yellow, red or black, for example. This special extract was developed after fourteen years of research. KSM-66® uses a special process to produce the extract that does not utilise any harmful or environmentally damaging chemicals. The result is a versatile extract that preserves the natural properties of the original plant. Ixoreal also makes a conscious effort to use only ashwagandha plants that have not been treated with pesticides. Maritime pine bark extract

Pycnogenol® is a patented and standardised extract from maritime pine, a coniferous tree species from the south-western coast of France. Conifers are often also called pine trees. This extract contains many polyphenols, including OPCs (oligomeric proanthocyanidins) and acids such as ferulic acid, cinnamic acid and caffeic acid. Ingredients

Maca (Lepidium peruvianum Chacon, root), bulking agent (microcrystalline cellulose [cellulose gel]), ashwagandha extract (Withania somnifera, root, contains milk), anti-caking agent (silicon dioxide, magnesium salts of fatty acids, hydroxypropylcellulose), black cohosh extract (Cimicifuga racemosa, rhizome), French maritime pine bark extract (Pinus pinaster, bark), glazing agent (hydroxypropylmethylcellulose), humectant (glycerol).

Recommended dosage

Take 1 tablet twice a day with water with a meal. If the result is not sufficient, the dosage can be temporarily increased to 2 tablets twice a day.

Note

If you have hyperthyroidism or are taking thyroid medication, you should consult a doctor before using a supplement containing ashwagandha. Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
