Halloween cookies made from acorn flour

Halloween is just around the corner, so I decided to make "spooky" Halloween cookies from acorn flour

Halloween cookies made from acorn flour

Ingredients

  • 140 g melted butter
  • 90 g (normal) flour
  • 90 g acorn flour (available from us)
  • 50 g icing sugar
  • grated zest of one orange
  • three tablespoons of orange juice

Preparation

  1. Place the sifted flour in a bowl, add the icing sugar, grated orange zest, three tablespoons of orange juice and melted butter. Mix all the ingredients well and knead into a dough.
  2. Wrap the dough in cling film and leave to rest in the fridge for approx. 30 minutes.
  3. The dough is then formed into balls, flattened, placed on baking paper and moulded.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 160 °C for 18 to 20 minutes, depending on the thickness of the biscuits.
