Vitamins and minerals for women in renaturalised form plus herbs
Renaturalised vitamins that are integrated into a food matrix. They are combined with fruit and vegetable concentrates in which they are biologically contained, e.g. beta-carotene in carrot concentrate, vitamin C in citrus pulp and biotin in maize extract.
Bioavailability
Bioavailability measures how active a substance - for example a vitamin - is and how quickly and in what quantity it is absorbed by the body and is available in its area of action. The higher the bioavailability, the better it is utilised by the body.
What is organic food?
Vital substances (vitamins, minerals and trace elements) are not normally isolated in foods, but are bound to fats, carbohydrates and proteins. Synthetic vitamins and isolated vitamins (although of natural origin) do not always contain these nutrients. Isolated vitamins, instead of being assimilated, are dispersed, which reduces their effectiveness. On the other hand, if a vitamin is similar to the natural food form, it is easily recognised by the body.
