Kaneka Q10 - Ubiquinone of the highest quality
Q10 (also known as coenzyme Q10) is a natural substance that is found in all cells (in the mitochondria) of the body. The fat-soluble compound is called ubiquinone, which means "present everywhere". The body obtains Q10 both from its own production and from food. In certain situations, the body's own production of Q10 is not sufficient to cover the need, so that food intake becomes more important. For this reason, Q10 is considered a (semi-)essential nutrient. After oral ingestion, Q10 is largely converted into ubiquinol. If you use a food supplement with ready-made ubiquinol (as in the Vitals products Ubiquinol 50 mg and Ubiquinol 100 mg), this conversion process is not necessary.
In addition to a high Q10 content, the product also contains natural vitamin E, d-alpha-tocopherol. In the body, vitamin E acts as an important (fat-soluble) antioxidant, contributing to the protection of cells from oxidative damage and thus helping to maintain healthy cells and tissues.
