Inulin
Inulin is a natural dietary fibre found in chicory, Jerusalem artichokes and onions. Like all dietary fibres, inulin stimulates the bowels and combats constipation. Above all, it functions as a prebiotic, i.e. it serves as food for the "good" intestinal bacteria so that they can multiply well.
