Test for the early detection of signs of osteoporosis
In co-operation with the osteolabs GmbH laboratory in Kiel, we offer you a test for the early detection of osteoporosis. The osteoporosis test from osteolabs is uncomplicated and quick, as it does not require an X-ray and determines the calcium ratios in the bones using a single urine sample. This allows you to check your osteoporosis status from the comfort of your own home, without any exposure to radiation.
In addition to hormonal changes during the menopause and illnesses, there are numerous other factors that can increase the risk of developing osteoporosis. In around 70 per cent of cases, hormones are responsible for brittle bones. When oestrogen production decreases in menopausal women, this has a negative impact on bone metabolism, as oestrogen slows down the activity of bone-degrading cells. Women who had their first menstruation late as teenagers or who entered the menopause early are particularly susceptible to osteoporosis. Women who have not had children or who have had their ovaries removed also have an increased risk of osteoporosis. Unfortunately, osteoporosis only becomes apparent when it has already caused noticeable damage to the skeleton: This can lead to a hunched back like a widow's hump or painful fractures. Men also develop osteoporosis, but this usually only occurs at an older age, often at the age of 70.
Don't wait for the warning signs! Carry out a risk assessment for osteoporosis as early as the onset of the menopause. The earlier it is possible to diagnose a dangerous drop in bone density, the greater the chances of reducing the risk of the disease through treatment and preventative measures. The osteoporosis test from osteolabs is a highly precise, radiation-free and reliable early warning system for your bone health. According to studies by the Clinical Research Centre Kiel GmbH, the osteoporosis test from osteolabs can identify osteoporosis more reliably than the DXA X-ray procedure. *
In addition to a detailed explanation, further measurements and recommendations for action, the test result is also made available to you in a colour illustration, as shown in the sample findings. It shows you at a glance whether and to what extent you have been diagnosed with impending osteoporosis. You can also use the osteoporosis risk questionnaire from our download area to determine your osteoporosis risk.

Please note that returns from abroad are not postage free. See the note at https://osteolabs.de/de/adr.html
Your urine sample will be thoroughly analysed and tested in the osteolabs medical laboratory. High-precision mass spectrometers are used to perform the test. Your test results will be sent discreetly to your address after 10 working days. Alternatively, you can access your results online via the osteolabs website. Alert! The results can currently only be downloaded from the osteolabs GmbH website at https://shop.osteolabs.de/befund.html.
We would like to draw your attention to the fact that reimbursement by private health insurance companies is not always guaranteed for this test. Therefore, please check with your health insurance company whether the services will be reimbursed.
