Internal use (oral)

  • Dosage: Generally 25 ml (approx. 2 tablespoons) twice daily before meals; sometimes also in the morning on an empty stomach.
  • Administration: Taken neat, mixed with water or juice.
  • Notes: Start with a low dose and increase it according to the manufacturer's instructions; large amounts can cause stomach upset. Not suitable for pregnant women and children under 12 years.

External use (skin & hair)

  • Skin: Soothes and moisturises, even for sunburn; apply as a cooling spray mist or with a cotton pad.
  • Face masks: Apply to blemished skin after mixing with healing clay.
  • Hair/scalp: After washing, apply to the damp scalp and lengths, leave on briefly and then rinse out.
  • Note: In many cases the finished gel is better suited than the pure juice, as the latter is diluted.

Important safety note

Do not use homemade juice straight from the leaf, as it contains the yellowish liquid (aloin), which has laxative and irritating effects. It is important that professionals remove it carefully.

Animal use (pets)

Small dogs/cats: max. 5 ml/day, larger dogs: 10 ml/day — simply add to food or water.
