The role of potassium in the human organism
Potassium is a mineral that, together with chloride and sodium, contributes to the regulation of blood pressure. Potassium has a positive effect on blood pressure as it is involved in various processes of blood pressure regulation, such as vasodilation (dilation of blood vessels) and the promotion of sodium excretion in the urine. Potassium also supports the correct transmission of nerve impulses and the contraction of muscles. Finally, a normal intracellular and extracellular potassium concentration is important for optimal neurotransmission.
This product contains 200 mg of potassium in the organically bound and easily absorbable form of potassium citrate. Potassium is one of the body's essential electrolytes along with sodium and chloride. Minerals in ionic form (i.e. not combined with other elements but dissolved as separate electrically charged particles in a liquid) are known as electrolytes.

Ingredients
Potassium citrate, anti-caking agent (rice fibres), vegetable capsule (pullulan, from fermented manioc starch).
Recommended dosage
Take 1-2 capsules per day with water with a meal.
Caution
Do not take in combination with medication that can increase potassium levels (e.g. potassium-sparing diuretics or certain antihypertensives).
Storage instructions
Store in a cool, dry place away from light (not in the refrigerator).
