S-adenosylmethionine, known as SAM-e, is hardly found in our food. However, our body can produce it itself from L-methionine and the energy-rich ATP (adenosine triphosphate). In combination with folate, S-adenosylmethionine influences many biological processes.

Products containing SAMe that you can buy on the internet are often very cheap, but this is usually at the expense of the quality and how well the body can absorb the substance. Sometimes the product information is also incorrect. In contrast to the cheaper SAMe products, which mostly contain sodium SAMe, S-adenosyl L-methionine disulphate tosylate (SAMe-DSTM) is much better absorbed by the body, namely around 98%, while only 80% of sodium SAMe is absorbed. SAMe-DSTM is also more durable, better tolerated and causes fewer undesirable effects.
Folate (5-methyltetrahydrofolate) is included so that SAMe can work optimally. This particularly high-quality folate is the already active form of folic acid. It is much more easily absorbed by the body and can be utilised immediately by the metabolism because the liver no longer has to convert it. Folate therefore works faster and more effectively.
WOSCHA SAMe Plus is plant-based and very well tolerated because it contains no other additives.

Ingredients

S-adenosyl L-methionine, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (veg. capsule), calcium carbonate, 5-methyltetrahydrofolate.

Recommended dosage

Take 1 - 2 EMBO-Caps® daily 1/2 hour before a meal with plenty of liquid. Do not take in the evening or before going to bed.

Caution

Do not use in combination with substances that impair brain function (e.g. tranquillisers and/or antidepressants).

Storage instructions

Store in a cool, dry place away from light (not in the refrigerator).
