Experiment: free shipping!

Free is nice, but not always sensible!

According to studies, customers love free shipping. And they especially love it when it's simple, so 'zero' is easier to understand than 'so many euros shipping costs for orders up to a certain amount and above less or free, etc. etc.'.

And of course we love it when, on the one hand, we have less work, e.g. with invoicing, and on the other hand customers visit us more often than other shops.

So we're going to test for the next few weeks whether we can generally offer free shipping within Germany!

If that works well, we'd be happy for it to stay that way.

If not — for example if countless customers buy a tin of chewing gum with free shipping and we end up making a huge loss on it — we'll have to change it back.

But for now we assume it will work out! So more customers will buy, but they will still not remain exclusively at the lowest price level.

Certainly our generous quantity discounts will help. With or without shipping costs, it's always worth getting a little more from us and saving, for example, 5% from 2 items or 10% from 5 items. Just pay attention to the best-before dates (MHD), which we, unlike 99% of all online shops selling food or supplements, display openly in the shop!

Update 09.08.2021:

We now have two months of experience with "free shipping for everything".

At first it still looked good — a very small proportion of customers ordered under €20, i.e. the range where it slowly becomes a loss-making business to also subsidise the actual €5 shipping costs.

Unfortunately, the share of very small orders has since increased. It really no longer makes sense to sell a wooden toy for €4 or a tin of chewing gum for €6.70 without shipping charges, if we then have to cover the actual €4–5 ourselves. And the PayPal fees. And the shipping boxes. And so on...
And unfortunately some people have started ordering the same low-priced product postage-free every few weeks, even though the best-before date for it was two years. You simply can't maintain such an offer!

So "free shipping for everything" won't be possible for much longer. Or rather, it's really only still the case because I haven't yet found the time to reprogram everything again.

But the new concept will definitely be more than fair. First we'll collect all the shipping costs that other shops charge that also carry our brands — and then make ours even cheaper!

This means that shortly we will set the shipping charge to €4, with free shipping from €30 — which still keeps us below the cheapest providers of these brands.
In return, we do offer volume discounts from 1 item, which almost none of the other shops provide!
