Sango coral: mineral-rich supplement from Okinawa

Off Okinawa lies a limestone and coral reef area from which fossilised sango coral is extracted. The powder made from it is considered a natural source of minerals with a broad spectrum of elements. What characterises sango coral powder?

Balanced ratio of calcium and magnesium:

• Around 24% calcium and around 11.5% magnesium give a ratio of approximately 2:1.
• Calcium supports normal bone and tooth function; magnesium contributes to normal muscle function and the nervous system.
• The 2:1 ratio is considered favourable as it can promote joint absorption and utilisation in the body.
  

Broad spectrum of minerals

In addition to the main minerals, it also contains numerous trace elements, including zinc, copper and iron. These elements are involved in a variety of metabolic processes and can support general vitality.

Origin and extraction:

• Fossilised, long-dead coral deposits off Okinawa are used; living reefs remain untouched.
• Only raw materials with a laboratory-confirmed, increased magnesium content are used in production.
• Extraction takes place in controlled zones at least 1 km off the coast and at depths of around 15 metres.
• The material is sterilised and dried at around 180-200 °C to ensure microbiological quality.

Minerals from the island water

Precipitation seeps into the limestone and coral structures, absorbing ionised minerals such as calcium, magnesium and trace elements. This naturally mineralised well water is traditionally used on Okinawa and is associated with well-being.

Ingredients

Recommended intake

3x 1 measuring spoon (á 1 g) spread over the day (1 g corresponds to approx. 1/3 teaspoon), preferably salivate in the mouth for 1 minute and drink 1 glass of water, juice or tea or stir into smoothies, drinks or muesli etc..

In case of stomach acid deficiency (common symptom: heartburn), take 1 hour after meals.

Tip: The combination with organic acids, e.g. from fermented products/drinks, facilitates absorption in the intestine.

Storage instructions

Store in a cool, dry place away from light (not in the refrigerator).
