What is vitamin E?

Vitamin E is a collective term for various natural and synthetic compounds. The vitamin E drops contain natural D-alpha-tocopherol – a form that also occurs in foods and can be well utilised by the body.

As a fat-soluble antioxidant, vitamin E helps protect cell membranes from oxidative influences. It assists in intercepting reactive oxygen species that can affect lipids and cellular structures. This protective function is particularly relevant in fat-rich tissues, such as the nervous system and cell membranes.
