Disposable syringe 1 ml + 37 mm cannula with blunt needle

On dosing oils, liquids and drops

Does this sound familiar?

  • Dropper bottles that don’t dispense anything.
  • Oils where you are told to take exactly 100 drops "or approx. 1 teaspoon", which is quite imprecise and especially problematic with a slightly shaky hand.
  • Measuring pipettes that are supposed to contain exactly 1 ml but have no graduation mark.

Here is one possible solution to the problem – simply measure it out with a syringe!

The material is food-safe, so suitable for dietary supplements in the form of liquids or oils.

The very small syringes allow measurement in 0.1 ml increments.
Here is a conversion aid:

A drop of water is approximately 0.05 ml or 0.05 g, i.e. 50 mg.

Oil has a different density and dripping behaviour than water. Therefore:

A drop of oil is approximately 0.04 ml or 0.035 g, i.e. 35 mg.

The large syringes are suitable for replacing the measures "tablespoon" or "teaspoon".

"1 tablespoon" corresponds to an amount of 15 ml, "1 teaspoon" corresponds to 5 ml.

If some has already been taken from the jar and the liquid level has dropped, the long blunt stainless-steel syringe tip for attaching is useful to retrieve it more easily.
This is explicitly not suitable for medical purposes, as it is blunt.
Therefore we do not sell the product as a "medical device" but merely as a technical aid for measuring oils or liquids.

Even though the syringes are offered as disposable syringes, reuse is recommended for reasons of economy. If you want to measure liquids such as herbal drops, you should rinse the syringe with clean water after use and dry it. Also, a previously used syringe that is to be used again and still contains water residues from the last cleaning should be rinsed with clean water before re-use.

After measuring oils, the syringe should be rinsed with a liquid that can dissolve oil. This can be pure alcohol; if that is not available at home and you happen to enjoy strong spirits, it can also be a schnapps or other high-proof spirit.

The limit of usability is reached when the syringe can no longer be easily drawn up.

The idea of using a syringe as a dosing aid occurred to us ourselves when taking our own medications or dietary supplements for the same reason, namely extremely impractical usage instructions for drops and oils.
It is therefore experimental and we accept no liability for the application of this idea. That is the responsibility of each individual.

Durable PET material, reusable, easily washable. The syringes have an adapter onto which the needle can simply be pushed. This makes cleaning the cannula easy. The plungers are easy to press. The material is food-safe.

Please note our order limit

These syringes are intended as a dosing aid for our products. That is why we offer them at such a low price. After customers, e.g. from cosmetics companies, ordered them by the dozen, which was not the purpose of this offer nor of the low price, we have limited the sale to a maximum of one syringe per order.

Important note: The syringes were probably originally medical syringes, they are individually hygienically sealed and bear a best-before date for medical products. This expired in 2025; we received the goods in this state. However, the best-before date is irrelevant here, as this is now explicitly a technical item for craft work or measuring liquids, so the date is not a reason for complaint.
