Drinking water analysis for infants and babies - MAXI

Only for Germany and Austria

  • We would like to point out that these tests and the shipping processes are optimized for Germany and Austria and are prepaid.
  • Samples must be delivered to the German laboratory within 4 days. This cannot be guaranteed for samples shipped from other countries!
  • Orders from countries other than Germany and Austria are therefore at your own risk. In this case, we only accept the payment method "Prepayment (directly to us)", as customers cannot then cancel the purchase, e.g., because the sample arrived at the laboratory unusable through their own fault. Purchases made with any other payment methods that customers could unlawfully reverse will be immediately canceled and refunded.
  • You can find more information about this from the manufacturer!

Comprehensive examinations for heavy metals, pollutants and microbes

The water analysis includes the examination of the heavy and light metals lead and copper as well as the anions sodium, nitrite, nitrate and sulphate, including testing for 4 microbes (Escherichia coli, coliform bacteria and total viable count at 22°C and 36°C) in accordance with the Drinking Water Ordinance.

The Drinking Water Ordinance (TrinkwV) and the Mineral and Table Water Ordinance (Min/TafelWV) set maximum limits for substances hazardous to health and thus establish clear quality standards, according to which tap water is also suitable for preparing baby food and for their hygiene. However, contamination of the water often only occurs after passing the house connection, since the material of the pipe can cause chemical reactions that release metal ions into the drinking water. Pipes in older buildings can particularly contain copper or even lead. Chromium and nickel can be released into the water from fittings.

Drinking water from well systems can contain various metals and compounds such as sulphate, nitrite, nitrate or phosphate (phosphorus) and pose health risks. Increasing urbanisation, industrialisation and agriculture as well as private and industrial wastewater (e.g. sewage sludge) are further significant sources of contamination. Natural geological processes can also affect groundwater quality.

Above all, the still‑immature immune system and the still‑developing bodies of infants and babies can, in the worst case, suffer long‑term damage.

State‑of‑the‑art laboratory analyses provide rapid certainty as to whether the water is contaminated with heavy or light metals that indicate a potential health risk. The detailed report shows a comprehensive list of the individual test parameters and their risks. Any exceedance of the limit values is clearly indicated graphically.

The test set includes:

  • 1 instruction for sample collection
  • 1 instruction for accessing the results
  • 1 sample submission form
  • 1 warranty certificate
  • 2 sample tubes
  • 1 shipping pouch

How does the ordering process work?

After your order we will send you the requested test kit with detailed instructions. You place the water sample into a tube, send it in a prepared envelope to Medivere's partner laboratory GANZIMMUN Diagnostics GmbH and receive the test result after approximately 14 working days.

Please note that this drinking water analysis is only suitable for a single tap. Samples cannot be taken from multiple taps!

Legal notice: All samples are collected by the client. This drinking water analysis is an indicative examination, which is not carried out on the basis of the current Drinking Water Ordinance. Official or judicial recognition of the test results is excluded.

Please note:

Unfortunately it is not possible to carry out analyses on contaminated water that is cloudy or discoloured or contains undissolved particles (well or pond water).

In order to provide you with accurate and reliable results, water samples are required to be in a condition that complies with the requirements for drinking water (tap water). If you nevertheless send contaminated water, Medivere reserves the right not to perform the analysis and, unfortunately, we cannot refund the costs because the test kit will then have been used.

Reaching your goal better with sensible diagnostics!

Around 50 % of our customers are sent to us by their therapist and know exactly what they need. Many others have extensive medical knowledge, but many also buy "on suspicion" without really knowing exactly what they need. For these customers, it would make a lot of sense to first determine their exact needs and possible deficiencies. Customers who buy a test from us are offered a short health consultation with a nutritionist to clarify what would be the best product for them.
In addition, they receive a 10% voucher for their first purchase after receiving their test result. And we are happy to put them in touch with the expert therapists with whom we are in contact. As a retailer, we are only allowed to provide limited information, even though we are qualified to do so. This is regulated by law because of the conflict of interest between sales and therapy, which is why doctors, for example, are not allowed to sell medicines or vitamins.
