Krill oil, 60 capsules

What is krill oil?

Krill oil is obtained from Antarctic krill (Euphausia superba) — a small crustacean that lives in the cold waters of the Antarctic. It provides the valuable omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA in a special form: they are predominantly bound to phospholipids. This natural structure is also an important component of human cell membranes.

In contrast to many conventional fish oils, krill oil offers a natural lipid complex of omega-3 fatty acids, phospholipids and astaxanthin. This combination makes krill oil a high-quality source of EPA and DHA.

Why is omega-3 so important today?

Omega-3 fatty acids are among the essential nutrients. As the body can produce only very limited amounts of EPA and DHA itself, they must be obtained regularly through the diet.

Modern dietary habits often contain significantly less omega-3 than in the past. At the same time, intake of omega-6 fatty acids has increased in many Western diets. This means that ensuring an adequate supply of EPA and DHA has become an important nutritional issue for many people.

EPA and DHA are natural components of cell membranes and are found particularly in nervous tissue, heart tissue and the retina.

What makes our krill oil special?

Omega-3 in phospholipid form

The omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA present are predominantly in phospholipid-bound form — a natural form that distinguishes krill oil from many conventional fish oils.

Natural lipid complex

Our krill oil contains omega-3 fatty acids, phospholipids and the natural carotenoid astaxanthin in their original combination.

Pleasant to take

Krill oil is characterised by a noticeably milder taste. The typical fishy flavour is barely perceptible for many users.

Raw material from the Antarctic

The krill used originates from the cold waters of the Antarctic and is at the base of the marine food chain.

Tested quality

Every batch is carefully tested for purity and freshness to ensure consistently high quality.
