The magnesium chloride comes from a deposit several hundred million years old, protected deep beneath the earth. Extraction takes place under controlled conditions. The natural salt crystals are gently processed into fine, highly water-soluble flakes.

Soothing magnesium baths

A warm bath with magnesium chloride flakes combines the soothing effect of heat and water with a natural mineral. Particularly popular are applications after sporting activity, long working days or as a relaxing evening ritual.

Magnesium contributes in the body, among other things, to normal muscle function, normal nervous system function and a normal energy metabolism. The topical application of magnesium chloride is being scientifically investigated and is particularly widespread in the wellness sector.

Origin from the Zechstein primordial sea

The Zechstein primordial sea formed more than 250 million years ago. After drying out, massive salt and mineral deposits remained, which now lie deep beneath the earth’s surface. This protected origin is a special feature of Zechstein magnesium.

Usage

Use as a full-body or foot bath is particularly suitable for relaxing magnesium baths. The water temperature should not exceed 37 °C. A bathing time of 20–30 minutes is recommended.

Dosage & concentration

The flakes contain 47% magnesium chloride; 1 g of flakes provides about 120 mg elemental magnesium.

Example:
For 1 litre of an approximately 7% brine, 150 g flakes are mixed with 850 ml water. This corresponds to about 18 g of magnesium contained.

Full bath: approx. 750 g flakes

Foot bath: For 5 litres of water the following are suitable:

200 g flakes → approx. 2% brine

300 g flakes → approx. 3% brine

Correspondingly higher amounts for stronger concentrations

Magnesium oil spray

As an alternative, a 7% brine can be used as a body spray. Afterwards, rub well into the damp skin. If fully rubbed in, no greasy film remains.

5.5 ml or approx. 40 pump strokes contain about 100 mg elemental magnesium.

For relaxing wellness applications, full baths, foot baths or the magnesium spray are particularly suitable as part of the evening routine.

Storage

Magnesium chloride is hygroscopic and absorbs moisture from the surroundings. Therefore keep the packaging tightly closed at all times.
