The acerola cherry provides 30 times as much vitamin C as a lemon and, compared to ascorbic acid, contains additional natural secondary plant compounds (antioxidants) that enhance the naturally occurring vitamin C. Zinc is involved in numerous metabolic processes in the body, as well as in the formation of genetic material and cell growth.
