OPC derived from the branded raw material Oligopin™, containing 90% active ingredient
Oligomeric proanthocyanidins, also known as oligomeric procyanidins and abbreviated as OPC (for oligomeric procyanidins) or PCO (English: oligomeric proanthocyanidins), are familiar to many in connection with grape seeds and grape skins, but pine bark extract also contains a high proportion of these interesting plant compounds. OPCs are naturally occurring substances in plants that belong to the flavonoid group and are classified under the broader category of polyphenols. It is a colourless bitter substance, which is also marketed as Oligopin™. This means that Oligopin™ is produced from the same raw material but is marketed under the registered brand name. Our dietary supplement containing pine bark extract contains 90% OPC. OPCs are mostly dimers or trimers of oligomeric catechins and exert an antioxidant protective effect against the effects of free radicals.
The branded raw material Oligopin™, used in EnergyBalance OPC, guarantees a pure and high-quality product, the efficacy of which has also been demonstrated in studies.
