Plant-based galactose from peach gum in a highly pure form
Galactose is a simple sugar (monosaccharide) that is closely related to other sugars such as glucose (grape sugar) and fructose (fruit sugar). As an energy source, galactose has a decisive advantage over glucose: compared to glucose, galactose requires very little insulin to be absorbed by the cells, and the absorption of galactose therefore has virtually no effect on our blood sugar levels, keeping them stable.
Unlike the galactose commonly available on the market, which is derived from whey (cow’s milk), Galactose Vegan Simple Sugar Energy Support is 100% plant-based; it is made from peach gum.
Galactose (mucilage sugar) is a simple sugar or monosaccharide – just like glucose or fructose – but with a lower glycaemic index, which helps to keep blood sugar levels stable. When galactose is written without a prefix or further qualification, it always refers to D-galactose. Galactose occurs naturally in fermented dairy products such as yoghurt and kefir, and in very small quantities in artichokes, mushrooms, papayas and tomatoes. Galactose is also found in breast milk and forms the basis for important early brain development after birth. Galactose, which is slightly less sweet than ordinary sugar, can be used as an alternative sweetener. However, it is also suitable for people who are fasting or following a ketogenic diet, to avoid any side effects caused by the energy intake from sugar.

Recommended intake
Dissolve 5 measuring spoons (included in the pack) of vegan galactose, equivalent to 5 × 0.6 g = 3 g, in 1 glass of water and drink.
Storage instructions
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct light (not in the fridge).
