Galactose is a simple sugar (monosaccharide) that is closely related to other sugars such as glucose (grape sugar) and fructose (fruit sugar). As an energy source, galactose has a decisive advantage over glucose: compared with glucose, galactose requires hardly any insulin to be taken up by the cell, and therefore the uptake of galactose has little effect on our blood sugar levels and keeps them stable.
Galactose Vegan Simple Sugar Energy Support, unlike the galactose commonly available on the market that is derived from whey (cow's milk), is 100% plant-based; it is made from peach gum.
Galactose (also known as mucilage sugar) is a simple sugar or monosaccharide – like glucose or fructose – but with a lower glycaemic index, which helps to keep blood sugar levels stable. When galactose is written without a prefix or additional name, D-galactose is always meant. Galactose occurs naturally in fermented dairy products such as yoghurt and kefir and in very small amounts in artichokes, mushrooms, papayas and tomatoes. Galactose is also present in breast milk and forms the basis for important early brain development after birth. Galactose, which is slightly less sweet than regular sugar, can be used as an alternative sweetener. It is also suitable for people who are fasting or following a ketogenic diet to avoid side effects from energy intake from sugar.

Recommended intake
Daily: 5 measuring scoops (included in the packaging) of Galactose vegan, equivalent to 5 × 0.6 g = 3 g, dissolve in 1 glass of water and drink.
