Cholesterol Complex with Red Rice and Shiitake

Cholesterol Complex is a carefully selected blend of exotic mushrooms and red rice. The mushrooms it contains – shiitake, wood ear and maitake – are helpful for anyone paying particular attention to their fat intake. This is because they contain valuable beta-glucan and monacolin.
Monacolin is a component of red rice and is obtained through fermentation processes using a mould. It is used in medicines to lower cholesterol levels. As a product requiring a daily intake of 5 mg or more must be authorised as a medicinal product, we strongly recommend taking only one capsule a day, as this is a dietary supplement. This is particularly important as various mushrooms also contain this substance in small quantities. According to the literature, small amounts of monacolin K are also present in wood ear mushrooms, maitake and shiitake. Careful dosing is therefore particularly important in order to achieve the desired positive effect as a dietary supplement.
