Tea TCM formulation that nourishes the Qi
“Seven Treasures for beautiful hair” is the translation of the origin of this formula, the actual name of which is “Qi Bao Mei Ran Dan”. Traces of this valuable composition of vitamins, trace elements and secondary plant compounds can be followed back to the Chinese Qing Dynasty. The base ingredient of this formula is multi‑flowered knotweed (Polygonum multiflorum), whose components in TCM, together with the other ingredients, are said to support the Qi – the life energy – and the Yi – the substance. It was formerly especially popular among older people and was regarded as a support against complaints that can occur with increasing age.
