Professional refrigerated delivery in eco-friendly packaging

Temperature-sensitive items such as lactic acid bacteria or omega-3 oils should, when outside temperatures are high, only be shipped in refrigerated packaging to ensure your products arrive undamaged.

In addition to our affordable ‘Light’ version, which consists ofcamping ice packs that keep the goods slightly cooler for 12–18 hours, we also offer this refrigerated version, which keeps the products cold for considerably longer
We source these from Podomedi, though not as a regular product; instead, we place our own orders there from time to time with chilled delivery and set the ice packs aside for our customers .
As a result, we only ever have a limited stock. For this reason, and also because we make no profit on this product – on the contrary, we sell them for slightly less than our purchase price – you can add a maximum of 1 cooling pack to an order at a time.
In our experience, in orders requiring refrigerated delivery, which take 2–3 days to reach us from Podomedi Netherlands, there was still frozen ice present in the cooling packs; in other words, these cool packs reliably keep your goods cool for at least 2 to just over 3 days – in other words, for the entire standard DHL delivery period!

The cooling pack consists of a hemp thermal bag, which is fully compostable, and a reusable cooling pad. The hemp bag can be disposed of in organic waste or reused many times. The cooling pads are sustainable and filled with pure water, free from chemicals. They can be easily refrozen and reused.

To protect the goods from excessive heat, during the summer or when temperatures exceed 25 degrees, we only dispatch heat-sensitive products from Monday to Wednesday. Heat-sensitive products include:

• All omega-3 oils, whether in capsules or bottles
• Probiotics such as capsules containing lactic acid bacteria or other digestive-aid microbes
• All types of enzymes
  

In the event of extremely high temperatures of 30 degrees or above, we recommend postponing your purchase until temperatures have dropped again.
Of course, our customers are free to decide for themselves. However, we do not accept returns on the grounds of “heat damage” if the weather conditions were known from the outset at the time of purchase AND the parcel was delivered within the standard delivery time, i.e. it was not delayed for an unreasonably long time due to a DHL error, for example, AND a cooling pack was deliberately not selected at the time of purchase.

Naturally, we also take this into account. We know which products are provided by the manufacturer with sufficient heat protection to withstand 1–2 days in warm conditions, e.g. through the addition of vitamin E, and which are more sensitive, and we contact customers before dispatch if necessary to ensure safe delivery.
