Only for Germany and Austria
- We would like to point out that these tests and the shipping processes are optimized for Germany and Austria and are prepaid.
- Samples must be delivered to the German laboratory within 4 days. This cannot be guaranteed for samples shipped from other countries!
- Orders from countries other than Germany and Austria are therefore at your own risk. In this case, we only accept the payment method "Prepayment (directly to us)", as customers cannot then cancel the purchase, e.g., because the sample arrived at the laboratory unusable through their own fault. Purchases made with any other payment methods that customers could unlawfully reverse will be immediately canceled and refunded.

Includes all microorganisms that colonise the gut
A balanced relationship of gut bacteria is crucial for human health. As numerous studies show, an imbalance of the gut microbiome is associated with various diseases. These include metabolic syndrome, diabetes, inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, calcium oxalate kidney stones, cardiovascular diseases, rheumatoid arthritis and neurological disorders.
The method known as next-generation sequencing has so far been used exclusively in the context of scientific research. It involves the molecular genetic analysis of the entire bacterial intestinal microbiome and represents a revolution for diagnostics, since conventional stool diagnostics could only identify a limited portion of the existing gut microbes. It also allows a more precise assessment of the effects of the individual’s highly complex microbiota on colonisation resistance, digestive processes, nutrient and vitamin absorption, and immunity.
Even anaerobic bacteria that cannot be cultured are detected by the analysis. In the 20th century, microbiological stool diagnostics were largely based on cultural cultivation on nutrient media and subsequent enzymatic differentiation. However, very few anaerobic bacteria grow using cultural methods (around 99% of gut bacteria are not cultivable by these methods). The methods of investigation have developed rapidly in recent years. In modern laboratories, the identification of bacteria from the sample is nowadays mostly carried out by mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF = Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization–Time of Flight) on culture media or by molecular biological methods (PCR = Polymerase Chain Reaction) directly from the submitted material. A disadvantage, however, is that PCR technology is very selective and costly.
The microbiome data and their expertise can be regularly updated and expanded in the future to incorporate new findings into the report.
A faecal microbiome test can be performed from the age of 3.
The investigation at the molecular genetic level includes the
- assessment of the diversity of the intestinal microbiome
- statement on bacterial dysbiosis
- identification of the enterotype
- distribution frequency of the main bacterial strains
- determination of the ratio of Firmicutes to Bacteroidetes
- assessment of the mucosa-protective flora
- investigation of risk factors for diseases associated with dysbiosis
- 1 sample collection instruction
- 1 instructions for accessing the report
- 1 sample accompanying document
- 1 guarantee document
- 1 sample container with label in the shipping container
- 1 microbiome sample tube with label in the shipping container
- 1 stool collection device
- 1 shipping container
- 1 shipping bag
How does the ordering process work?
After you place your order, the desired test package will be sent to you with detailed instructions. You place your sample in a sample container, send it in a prepared envelope to Mediveres' partner laboratory GANZIMMUN Diagnostics GmbH and receive a report with the assessment of your profile after 5-7 days.

Achieve better results with sensible diagnostics!
Around 50% of our customers are referred to us by their therapist and know exactly what they need. Many more have extensive therapeutic knowledge, but many also buy on a hunch ("just in case") without really knowing the details. For these customers it would make a lot of sense to first determine their exact needs or any deficiencies. Customers who buy a test from us are offered a short health consultation with a nutritionist, during which it is clarified which product would be best for them.
In addition, they receive a 10% voucher for their first purchase after they have received their test result. We are also happy to put them in touch with suitably qualified therapists with whom we are in contact. As a retailer we are only allowed to provide limited advice, even though we would be qualified to do so. This is regulated by law because of the conflict of interest between sales and therapy; for example, doctors are not allowed to sell medicines or vitamins.
