Only for Germany and Austria
- We would like to point out that these tests and the shipping processes are optimized for Germany and Austria and are prepaid.
- Samples must be delivered to the German laboratory within 4 days. This cannot be guaranteed for samples shipped from other countries!
- Orders from countries other than Germany and Austria are therefore at your own risk. In this case, we only accept the payment method "Prepayment (directly to us)", as customers cannot then cancel the purchase, e.g., because the sample arrived at the laboratory unusable through their own fault. Purchases made with any other payment methods that customers could unlawfully reverse will be immediately canceled and refunded.

Refers to all microorganisms that colonise the gut
A balanced ratio of gut bacteria is crucial for human health. As numerous studies show, an imbalance in the gut microbiome is linked to various diseases. These include metabolic syndrome, diabetes, inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, calcium oxalate kidney stones, cardiovascular diseases, rheumatoid arthritis and neurological disorders.
The method known as next-generation sequencing, used to identify dysbiosis, has so far been used exclusively in the context of scientific research. It involves the molecular genetic analysis of the entire bacterial intestinal microbiome and represents a revolution in diagnostics, as conventional stool testing was only able to identify a limited proportion of the gut bacteria present. Furthermore, it enables a more precise assessment of the effects of an individual’s highly complex microbiota on resistance to colonisation, digestive processes, nutrient and vitamin absorption, and immunity.
Even anaerobic bacteria that cannot be cultured are detected by the analysis. In the 20th century, microbiological stool diagnostics relied largely on culturing on nutrient media followed by enzymatic differentiation. However, very few anaerobic bacteria (around 99 per cent of gut bacteria) grow using cultural methods. Testing methods have developed rapidly in recent years. In modern laboratories, the identification of bacteria from the sample is now largely carried out using mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF = Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionisation-Time of Flight) on culture media or by molecular biological methods (PCR = Polymerase Chain Reaction) directly from the submitted material. One disadvantage, however, is that PCR technology is highly selective and cost-intensive.
The microbiome data and the associated expertise can be regularly updated and expanded in future to take account of new findings in the test results.
A microbiome stool test can be carried out from the age of 3.
The analysis at the molecular genetic level involves the
- assessment of the diversity of the intestinal microbiome
- Assessment of bacterial dysbiosis
- Determination of the enterotype
- frequency of occurrence of the most important bacterial strains
- Determination of the ratio of Firmicutes to Bacteroidetes
- Assessment of mucoprotective flora
- Investigation of risk factors for diseases associated with dysbiosis
- 1 sample collection guide
- 1 set of instructions for requesting results
- 1 sample accompanying document
- 1 guarantee document
- 1 sample container with label in the shipping box
- 1 microbiome sample tube with label in the shipping container
- 1 Stool collection device
- 1 shipping container
- 1 dispatch bag
How does the ordering process work?
Once you have placed your order, the test kit you have chosen will be sent to you along with detailed instructions. You place your sample in a sample tube, send it in the provided envelope to Mediveres’ partner laboratory, GANZIMMUN Diagnostics GmbH, and will receive your results, including an assessment of your profile, within 5–7 days.

Reaching your goal better with sensible diagnostics!
Around 50 % of our customers are sent to us by their therapist and know exactly what they need. Many others have extensive medical knowledge, but many also buy "on suspicion" without really knowing exactly what they need. For these customers, it would make a lot of sense to first determine their exact needs and possible deficiencies. Customers who buy a test from us are offered a short health consultation with a nutritionist to clarify what would be the best product for them.
In addition, they receive a 10% voucher for their first purchase after receiving their test result. And we are happy to put them in touch with the expert therapists with whom we are in contact. As a retailer, we are only allowed to provide limited information, even though we are qualified to do so. This is regulated by law because of the conflict of interest between sales and therapy, which is why doctors, for example, are not allowed to sell medicines or vitamins.
