Laboratory analysis of D-arabinitol in urine to determine excessive yeast growth in the intestine
Arabinitol occurs as a sugar alcohol in the forms of D- and L-arabinitol. These can also be detected in small amounts in the serum and urine of healthy people. If there is an increased colonisation of yeasts in the small intestine, the D-arabinitol concentration also rises. The reason for this is that only D-arabinitol is produced by Candida spp. such as Candida albicans, C. tropicalis and C. parapsilosis.
If the concentration of D-arabinitol increases, its ratio to L-arabinitol also changes.
Because the concentration of D-arabinitol in urine is proportional to its concentration in serum, a heavy yeast burden thus leads to a marked increase in D-arabinitol concentration in both serum and urine.

After your order, the requested test kit will be sent to you with detailed instructions. You put your sample into a sample container, send it in a prepared envelope to Mediveres partner laboratory GANZIMMUN Diagnostics GmbH and receive a report with an assessment of your profile after 10-14 days.

Around 50% of our customers are referred to us by their therapist and know exactly what they need. Many more have extensive therapeutic knowledge, but many also buy on a hunch ("just in case") without really knowing the details. As a retailer we are only allowed to provide limited advice, even though we would be qualified to do so. This is regulated by law because of the conflict of interest between sales and therapy; for example, doctors are not allowed to sell medicines or vitamins.
