Microbiological analysis of the gut flora for fungi and beneficial and harmful bacteria

Quantitative bacteriological and mycological stool analysis: aerobic and anaerobic gut flora, yeasts, moulds, pH value; including detection of Clostridium difficile.

The stool flora is composed of numerous different components. These provide information on all external factors affecting the gut flora. The extent of changes in the stool flora provides an indication of the severity of the underlying cause, but does not allow specific diseases to be diagnosed. Analysis of the stool flora is therefore particularly suitable as a follow-up assessment in cases of gastrointestinal disorders or conditions with multiple causes, such as atopic dermatitis.

The results can be used as the basis for personalised treatment aimed at restoring healthy gut flora. However, this should only be undertaken after consultation with a doctor or therapist.

How does the ordering process work?

Once you have placed your order, the test pack you have chosen will be sent to you along with detailed instructions. You place your sample in the sample container, send it in the provided envelope to Mediveres’ partner laboratory, GANZIMMUN Diagnostics GmbH, and will receive your results, including an assessment of your profile, within 5–7 days.
