Assessing the development of the gut microbiota in breastfed infants
The gut microbiota plays a vital role in the wellbeing and health of infants and young children. Not only does microbial colonisation influence a child’s immunological development, but the gut microbiota is also particularly sensitive during the first 12 months, which can affect the establishment of a stable microecological environment.
The stimulation of NK cell and macrophage activity, on the one hand, and the promotion of sIgA synthesis, on the other, are ensured by the diverse immunogenic properties of various gut-specific bacterial species. Of particular importance here is the immunohomeostatic effect, which is ultimately essential for a balanced TH1/TH2 ratio as well as for the development and maintenance of oral tolerance. This makes it clear that the gut flora represents a primary protective factor with regard to atopic risks in childhood.
Furthermore, in infants, allergic inflammation of the colonic and rectal mucosa can lead to intestinal bleeding in the colon. Concerned parents may notice regular or occasional traces of blood in the form of blood streaks or small amounts of blood when changing nappies.

Reaching your goal better with sensible diagnostics!
Around 50 % of our customers are sent to us by their therapist and know exactly what they need. Many others have extensive medical knowledge, but many also buy "on suspicion" without really knowing exactly what they need. For these customers, it would make a lot of sense to first determine their exact needs and possible deficiencies. Customers who buy a test from us are offered a short health consultation with a nutritionist to clarify what would be the best product for them.
In addition, they receive a 10% voucher for their first purchase after receiving their test result. And we are happy to put them in touch with the expert therapists with whom we are in contact. As a retailer, we are only allowed to provide limited information, even though we are qualified to do so. This is regulated by law because of the conflict of interest between sales and therapy, which is why doctors, for example, are not allowed to sell medicines or vitamins.
