Gut check for non-breastfed infants

Only for Germany and Austria

  • We would like to point out that these tests and the shipping processes are optimized for Germany and Austria and are prepaid.
  • Samples must be delivered to the German laboratory within 4 days. This cannot be guaranteed for samples shipped from other countries!
  • Orders from countries other than Germany and Austria are therefore at your own risk. In this case, we only accept the payment method "Prepayment (directly to us)", as customers cannot then cancel the purchase, e.g., because the sample arrived at the laboratory unusable through their own fault. Purchases made with any other payment methods that customers could unlawfully reverse will be immediately canceled and refunded.
  • You can find more information about this from the manufacturer!

For the assessment of gut flora development in the unbreastfed infant

The gut flora is crucial for the well‑being and health of infants and young children. The microbial colonisation of the gut can on the one hand affect immune development; on the other hand, the gut flora is particularly sensitive and exposed to many disruptive influences during the first 12 months. This can affect the stability of the micro‑ecological environment.

The stimulation of NK cell and macrophage activity on the one hand and the induction of sIgA synthesis on the other are ensured by the diverse immunogenic properties of various microbial species typical of the gut. Of particular importance here is the immune‑homeostatic effect, which is ultimately essential for a balanced Th1/Th2 balance as well as for the establishment and maintenance of oral tolerance. This makes it clear that the gut flora represents a primary protective factor with regard to atopic risks in childhood.

Furthermore, in infants an allergic inflammation of the colonic and rectal mucosa can lead to intestinal bleeding in the colon. Concerned parents may notice, when changing nappies, regular or occasional blood admixtures in the form of blood streaks or small amounts of blood.

This test is designed for unbreastfed infants.

Achieve better results with sensible diagnostics!

Around 50% of our customers are referred to us by their therapist and know exactly what they need. Many more have extensive therapeutic knowledge, but many also buy on a hunch ("just in case") without really knowing the details. For these customers it would make a lot of sense to first determine their exact needs or any deficiencies. Customers who buy a test from us are offered a short health consultation with a nutritionist, during which it is clarified which product would be best for them.
In addition, they receive a 10% voucher for their first purchase after they have received their test result. We are also happy to put them in touch with suitably qualified therapists with whom we are in contact. As a retailer we are only allowed to provide limited advice, even though we would be qualified to do so. This is regulated by law because of the conflict of interest between sales and therapy; for example, doctors are not allowed to sell medicines or vitamins.
