Only for Germany and Austria
- We would like to point out that these tests and the shipping processes are optimized for Germany and Austria and are prepaid.
- Samples must be delivered to the German laboratory within 4 days. This cannot be guaranteed for samples shipped from other countries!
- Orders from countries other than Germany and Austria are therefore at your own risk. In this case, we only accept the payment method "Prepayment (directly to us)", as customers cannot then cancel the purchase, e.g., because the sample arrived at the laboratory unusable through their own fault. Purchases made with any other payment methods that customers could unlawfully reverse will be immediately canceled and refunded.

For the detection and assessment of the intestinal microbiome of the gut
The intestinal microbiome refers to the entirety of microorganisms colonising the gut. A balanced composition of gut bacteria is essential for human health. As numerous studies have shown, an imbalance of the gut microbiome is associated with a variety of diseases. These include metabolic syndrome, diabetes, inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, bowel cancer, calcium oxalate urinary stones, cardiovascular diseases, rheumatoid arthritis as well as neurological disorders.
The so-called next-generation sequencing method has hitherto been used only in the scientific context to detect imbalances of the gut flora. Unlike conventional stool diagnostics, it does not only cover a limited range of gut microbes, but also includes the molecular genetic analysis of the entire bacterial intestinal microbiome. In addition, the effects of an individual’s highly complex microbiota on colonisation resistance, digestive processes, absorption of nutrients and vitamins as well as immunity can be assessed more precisely.
The analysis even detects anaerobic bacteria that cannot be cultured. The standard of microbiological stool diagnostics in the 20th century was mainly based on culture-based methods, on nutrient media and subsequent enzymatic differentiation. However, with culture-based methods very few of the anaerobic bacteria grow (approx. 99% of gut bacteria). In recent years there has been rapid development of testing methods. In modern laboratories bacteria are now identified from cultures on nutrient media mostly by mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF = Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization-Time of Flight) or directly from the submitted material using molecular biological methods (PCR = Polymerase Chain Reaction). A disadvantage, however, is that PCR is a very selective and costly technology.
The microbiome data and their interpretation can be updated and expanded at regular intervals in future so that new findings are reflected in the report.
The molecular genetic examination includes the
- Analysis of the species diversity of the intestinal microbiome (diversity)
- Assessment of bacterial dysbiosis
- Detection of the enterotype
- Frequency distribution of the most important bacterial strains>
- Determination of the Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes ratio
- Assessment of the mucosa-protective flora
- Analysis of risk factors for dysbiosis-associated diseases
The test kit includes:
- 1 instruction for sample collection
- 1 instruction for accessing the results
- 1 sample submission form
- 1 guarantee certificate
- 1 sample container incl. label in shipping container
- 1 microbiome sample tube with label in shipping container
- 1 stool collection device
- 1 shipping container
- 1 shipping bag
How does the ordering process work?
After your order, the desired test package will be sent to you with detailed instructions. You place your sample into a sample container, send it in a prepared envelope to Medivere's partner laboratory GANZIMMUN Diagnostics GmbH and receive a report with the evaluation of your profile after 5-7 days.

Achieve better results with sensible diagnostics!
Around 50% of our customers are referred to us by their therapist and know exactly what they need. Many more have extensive therapeutic knowledge, but many also buy on a hunch ("just in case") without really knowing the details. For these customers it would make a lot of sense to first determine their exact needs or any deficiencies. Customers who buy a test from us are offered a short health consultation with a nutritionist, during which it is clarified which product would be best for them.
In addition, they receive a 10% voucher for their first purchase after they have received their test result. We are also happy to put them in touch with suitably qualified therapists with whom we are in contact. As a retailer we are only allowed to provide limited advice, even though we would be qualified to do so. This is regulated by law because of the conflict of interest between sales and therapy; for example, doctors are not allowed to sell medicines or vitamins.
