Laboratory chemical analysis to investigate histamine intolerance
Histamine is a biogenic amine that acts as a tissue hormone and neurotransmitter and is involved in numerous processes in the body. In some cases, however, histamine cannot be broken down. The cause is usually an enzyme deficiency. This excess can then lead to a variety of complaints such as sleep disturbances, asthma, migraine or skin disorders. To establish whether symptoms are truly due to histamine intolerance, histamine concentration can be determined by a simple stool test.

How does the ordering process work?
After you place your order, the requested test kit will be sent to you with detailed instructions. You put your sample into a sample container, send it in a prepared envelope to Medivere's partner laboratory GANZIMMUN Diagnostics GmbH and receive a report with the assessment of your profile after 5–7 days.

Around 50% of our customers are referred to us by their therapist and know exactly what they need. Many more have extensive therapeutic knowledge, but many also buy on a hunch ("just in case") without really knowing the details. We are also happy to put them in touch with suitably qualified therapists with whom we are in contact. As a retailer we are only allowed to provide limited advice, even though we would be qualified to do so. This is regulated by law because of the conflict of interest between sales and therapy; for example, doctors are not allowed to sell medicines or vitamins.
