Laboratory chemical analysis of the organic acids benzoic acid, hippuric acid, p-hydroxybenzoic acid, phenylacetic acid, p-hydroxyphenylacetic acid, indican, dihydroxyphenylpropionic acid, D-arabitol, citramalic acid and tartaric acid

Digestive disorders resulting from a deficiency of enzymes, coenzymes, micronutrients (especially vitamins), but also diseases of the small intestine and an unbalanced diet usually lead to an incomplete breakdown of carbohydrates and proteins in the intestine. The resulting change in pH favours the growth and spread of pathogenic microorganisms up to the upper sections of the small intestine. These organisms in turn convert the metabolites produced in excess into toxic degradation products, the organic acids, which are eliminated via the kidney.

Some of the metabolic by-products detected in the urine are markers of intestinal colonisation by a specific pathogenic organism.

How does the ordering process work?

You place your sample into a sample container, send it in the prepared envelope to Medivere's partner laboratory GANZIMMUN Diagnostics GmbH and receive a report with the evaluation of your profile after 5-7 days.
